How do I interrupt thee, let me count the ways

I was so excited to make this Valentine's Mini Quilt. I was inspired when I read this post on Diary of a Quilter.  I did "sit" on it a while,  which means I was redesigning the layout in my sleeping and awake hours, I was!  I had to make it my own... And I was motivated mostly because I was using the reds and pinks from my Ruby charm pack and Modern Vintage  yardage by Bonnie and Camille .   Here are my 5 x 5 charm selections (some are random squares)   Here are some left over 2.5 x 2.5 squares I am going to use in there too!     And some scraps,     And one of these is for my "love note" square from A Walk in the Woods by Aneela Hoey .      I REALLY, REALLY wanted to finish this for Valentine's Day of this year but sometimes a mother's (and wife's) work is never done! I was bombarded with requests at every moment!     1. Where are uniform pants? 2. Did you wash my dance stuff? 3. What is the password

Fast forward from the last Sunday Afternoon Post

Finished this off and shipped it, check!     This letters below were my favorites and newer ideas.    Can you guess what the "R" is?       These robots were programmed too.     And I added a color option to my Valentine's Quilt.      More on why it wasn't finished in time for this year later!

Anything but a Lazy Sunday Afternoon

A lazy Sunday afternoon once had appeal. But with so little time and so much to do, I wonder what to do first? What I want? What is my duty? or what I will get paid for?   I have to finish this for a customer, I have one more letter to jazz up before assembling.   I also have 16 more Clay-Bots to do for an event at school/work. Thank God I have until March. But I really want it out of the way so I can get on to fun stuff like...   this. Just for sheer enjoyment and because I can't get this idea out of my head...      A nine square block Valentine Quilt (countdown) for myself. I got inspired when I read this post . I have been toying with a variation on the design for about a week .   More on that project soon.  Between you and me though, I really just want an excuse to use more of my yummy fabric from Bonnie & Camille .

A Clay Pot ROBOT!

A little craft wire,   jewels and buttons,     felt scraps and paint,     a glue gun,     some floss,     and a terracotta clay pot.      R O B O T     Nope. I did not get this from Pinterest.

Crafting Runs in the Family

I have a niece who likes to craft. (My genes, I know!)     She made wreaths this year for everyone in the family. (Wasn't that nice?)     She is the one who loves dogs, Ruff! Ruff! Ruff! (to the tune of Jingle Bells) This one she made for herself, of course.   This is the tree skirt she made for her mom. It was her first one! She is very handy with a glue gun I hear...     This is a "winter" wreath she made for her aunts. Over the Christmas break, I saw that she even has a Craft Box. I love that!   Good job, Amanda!!
